The Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina - one of the most influential orchestra of the Mozart type in Europe, presents varied and interesting programme based on several periods of classical music styles. In the first half, Beethoven’s dramatic overture Corolian and Tchaikovsky’s virtuoso violin concerto will be performed by fourteen years old talented Slovak violinist Teo Gertler, who has won many international awards and achievements in and outside of Slovakia.

In the second half of programme, the Slovak Sinfonietta will perform representative works of Slovak and Czech national music composed by Eugen Suchon and Antonín Dvorák. We will also pay tribute to the most important Norwegian composer Edvard Hagerup Grieg. The programme is conducted by our Honorary Chief Conductor Leoš Svárovský - one of the most significant conductors with a broad international reputation.
